Fishbone Stitch

Perfect for fillin in leaves, feathers, or really anything!

Quick Refresher:

1: Begin with a straight stitch down the center of the leaf.

2. Next, bring your needle up near your starting stitch.

3. Bring your needle down, just below the end of the center straight stitch.

4. Alternate sides, stitching from the outer edge into the center as you work down the leaf.

 

Tip

• As your shape narrows toward the base, make your diagonal stitches shorter, and finish the very bottom with a few tiny straight or satin stitches if needed.
