Blanket Stitch
Blanket Stitch
The blanket stitch is both functional and decorative, perfect for binding two pieces of fabric together while looking surprisingly fancy.

Quick Refresher:
1: To begin, bring your needle through both pieces of fabric at once.
2. Next, bring you needle through the same side of the fabric, on stitch length away. Don’t pull tight, keep a little loop.
3. Now, bring your needle through the loop, hooking it around your needle and pulling it up to the edge of the fabric.
4. Insert your needle one stitch length away, again leaving a loop. Catch the loop with your needle and pull tight.
Tip
-
Sew three separate stitches into the very same corner hole or pivot point to make a clean 90-degree turn without pulling the fabric out of shape.
