Back Stitch

The stitch that literally does it all backwards but still ends up looking great...just like me!

Quick Refresher:

1: To begin, insert the needle through the fabric from beneath.

2. Bring your needle down one stitch-length ahead, forming your first stitch.

3. Bring the needle up one stitch-length ahead from beneath.

4. Insert the needle into the last hole of the previous stitch.

5. Continue by coming up one stitch-length away from your previous stitch.

6. And going back down into the last hole of your previous stitch.

 

Tips

• You can use a backstitch to first outline your design before adding a satin stitch over it.
